Comfort Cushion Putty Kit for GumGuard & Dentures

Before mixing

For optimal performance Place putty in refrigerator for 5–10 minutes prior to starting

Set a 6½ minute timer

Set a countdown timer for 6½ minutes. The Cushion will begin to set after mixing putty A & B and forms to shape within the 6½ minutes.

Mix A + B

Mix equal amounts of Putty A and Putty B together until the putty is one even color (about a minute).

Roll and place

Roll putty into a log or tube shape and place putty in denture.

Press into the walls

Press the comfort cushion putty into the interior walls including up the edges.

Bite and hold

Wear your upper denture while fitting your lower denture or lower denture while fitting your upper* . Bite and press down until reaching a comfortable fit. Hold denture or GumGuard in place for the remainder of the 6.5 minute process while the Comfort Cushion Putty sets to shape.
*You can hold it in place with your hands if you don't have an upper or lower denture

Inspect and trim

Inspect your now fitted Comfort Cushion. Trim away any overflow or excess putty to size. Enjoy the comfort!.

How to clean GumGuard® Comfort Cushion?

Removable and replaceable for cleaning. We recommend using your preferred denture or mouthguard cleaning product; like an ultrasonic cleaner. Follow product directions. Replacement recommended every 3 months for best hygiene & to keep your fit.

Comfort Cushion may be placed back in denture after cleaning. Can also use a soft toothbrush if needed. You can apply denture adhesive for extra hold if needed!

Is this one size fits all? How do I know it will fit?

Yes. GumGuard® molds using the included fitting putty to the size and shape of your gums. The GumGuard® can also be trimmed for comfort. Easy-to-follow instructions are included.

How long does the putty last after fitting?

I have a very small mouth. Will this work?

How soon after extractions can I fit my GumGuard®?

You may wait 1–3 days after extractions before fitting the putty. You may wear GumGuard® without putty immediately after extraction, then re-line once swelling subsides. An extra putty pack is included.

Can I use this while healing?

Yes. Wear GumGuard® without putty during healing. Fit the putty after 1–3 days and re-line once swelling decreases.

What is the difference between Standard GumGuardPM® and UltraSoft GumGuardPM®?

The Standard GumGuardPM® is thinner and durable. UltraSoft GumGuardPM® is softer, lighter, and ideal for sore gums or recent extractions.

Will GumGuard® work with implants?

Yes. GumGuard® works well with implants and abutments. Implant posts often help retain the GumGuard® more securely.

How do I clean the putty lining?

The putty lining is removable and replaceable. Clean it like dentures using denture cleaner or a soft toothbrush.

What is the putty made of?

The putty meets FDA 510(k) and EU safety standards. It is proprietary, flavorless, odorless, and silicone-like.
