What is a GumGuard?

GumGuard is a comfortable, soft, and flexible mouthguard created to fit and function exclusively for people missing their lower and/or upper teeth. 

In short, it’s the 1st line of mouthguard devices of its kind made for denture users and implant patients.

The GumGuard family of devices provides structural support, aesthetic enhancement, and a myriad of features that utilize patent-pending technology pioneered and tested over the last decade.

What is the difference between the Original GumGuardPM® and UltraSoft GumGuardPM®?

The difference between the GumGuardPM® original and GumGuardPM® UltraSoft is the GumGuardPM® is the original version. It is still soft and durable, but the new and improved UltraSoft version is even softer, thinner and lightweight and even more comfortable. The original is especially helpful for grinding issues. Customers love both versions! The UltraSoft is especially preferred for folks who have just had extractions or procedures and for people who are having sore gum issues.

The GumGuard Pro is a comfortable two-part replacement for dentures that can be worn whenever you’re not eating. With very accurate attention to detail, the GumGuard Pro has a similar appearance to dentures in a lightweight and soft composition. The GumGuard pro maintains muscle structure and prevents common adverse occurrences of wearing dentures.* Its lightweight and soft composition has been proven to alleviate pain and discomfort from wearing dentures.

GumGuards are soft, flexible, and comfortable oral prosthetics made from surgical grade TPE Designed to be used whenever a denture or prosthetic is not in use. GumGuard was not designed for eating or chewing food.Dentures are rigid oral prsthetic devices that you can throw through a window if you wanted too. Their primary function is for eating food and they look like natural teeth (at least they are supposed to, we've seen some horrible looking dentures )Dentures were invented 1000's of years ago, the modern denture we use today is based on the Vulcanized Rubber Denture which was introduced in the mid 1800's. Not much at all has changed besides using more modern material to produce them. 3d printed Dentures are becoming the industry standard, but all that's changed besides the material is the 3d production method.

What’s the difference between GumGuard and mouthguards?

Simple, every other mouthguard on the market was designed to fit to people’s teeth. 

GumGuard is designed to fit the unique shape of your gums and provide a supporting structure for the missing teeth and bone. It is the 1st mouthguard device intended to remedy the issues that face denture users, implant patients, and people who can’t afford or access dentures.

No, we strongly advice against it. The GumGuard is not a denture,  do not chew or eat food while using a GumGuard.  The fitting putty liner will weaken and could dislodge from the GumGuard. 

We recommend you replace GumGuard every 3 months for safety and optimal oral hygiene.  

• Your gums are constantly reshaping and the GumGuard will become loose
•  The fitting putty used to create the liner will shrink and ultimately separate from the device
• regular cleaning of your GumGuard, as with your denture is a must for hygenic reasons.

GumGuard® uses our reline fitting putty to mold  to the shape & size of your gums. 

The putty and the GumGuard® frame can be cut down  to size to fit comfortably in your mouth. 

Feel free to wear your GumGuard whenever you are NOT eating or chewing

• Rinse your GumGuard frequently.

• Clean your GumGuard with a antimicrobial soap and water. A soft toothbrush can also be used.

• With typical wear and the safest hygiene practices, you should replace your GumGuardPRO every 3 to 4 months

• When your GumGuardPRO is not in use, store it in the included GumGuard case. Remember to rinse the case regularly, too. 

• We recommend using Dr. B. Dental solutions brand Liquid Crystal soak and Ultra Sonic Cleaner for optimal cleaning.

We typically ship within 24-36 hours of purchase Monday through Saturday. Free Shipping for U.S. orders via USPS Ground Advantage Package. Domestic Postal delivery times: Priority Mail 1-5 business days, Priority Mail Express. 1-2 business days. Ground advantage 3 -7 business days. You will be provided with tracking information via email.

Shipping destinations:

• We ship both domestically in the U.S. and Worldwide. Domestic shipping is free within the USA. Tracking information is provided by email confirmation when your order is fulfilled. International orders are shipped via USPS First Class International or, of the customers choosing USPS Priority Mail, International Priority Mail Express or USPS First Class International, DHL etc.; customer makes shipping choice at checkout, customer is responsible for shipping costs. Shipping costs are calculated and paid by customer. Tracking information is provided by email confirmation when your order is fulfilled.
• Domestic (U.S.) orders ship free via USPS First Class. Customer can choose to pay for other shipping options offered at checkout such as UPS. Orders are processed within 24-48 business hours. Shipping speeds are: Domestic: USPS Priority Mail 1-5 business days; Ground Advantage 3-7 days. International: USPS First Class Int'l 7-21 days, Priority 6-10 business days, Express 3-5 bus. days. International shipping is calculated at checkout and paid by customer.

Returns

Our policy does not permit any returns. ALL SALES ARE FINAL DUE TO HYGIENE REASONS. Please check your order before payment for accuracy. Unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Refunds (if applicable)We do not offer any refunds. However, if you decide to cancel your order before shipping fulfillment, send us an email at team@gumguard.com. We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.Exchanges (if applicable)We do not accept exchanges at all due to hygiene reasons. We only replace items if they are defective or damaged on arrival which should not happen as all items are quality checked before shipping. To be eligible for an exchange, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at team@gumguard.com and we will assist you further.You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
